Disaster Recovery

For applications with the most sensitive data needs or requiring thorough disaster preparedness, existing connections need to be backed up with a technology offering different failure mechanisms and different entry/exit points to the building.  For example, all federal Government buildings are required to have such diversity backup telecommunication systems. E-Band's wireless GigE technology is an ideal backup to high speed trenched fiber, as it operates with fiber-like speeds and enters the building most probably via the roof.  This makes the wireless link impervious to the most common causes of fiber outages such as flooding, construction work, earthquakes and other ground-based disturbances.
